About Me

Let me tell you about myself, my name’s Danny Allen, I’m 32 and have been into VW’s since I was about 14. I’ve owned at least one VW or other since the VW bug first hit me. I’m a fun loving geezer who never takes life too seriously; after all we are only here for a short visit. Although I am very passionate about the things in life I love and can be known to be very outspoken about the things I believe in. Yeah I get pissed off, don’t we all, but I soon bounce back, think fuck it and get on with things. I like to live life to the full and cram in as much as I possibly can.

My hobbies and large group of friend’s all revolve around VW’s, infact I have very few non VW friends and have met some of the best people you could wish to know through the VW scene. Day to day I work as a computer aided designer for a large engineering company in Essex, a job that I both enjoy and has given me a lot of the knowledge I need to help me build the cars I do. At weekends and evenings I can either be found in my workshop tinkering, or at one of Europe’s many VW shows. Sad as it may seem, my life revolves around my love of VW's (it has been said that if you where to cut of my head you could read Volkswagen down my neck like a stick of rock!)

My VW history

As I have already mentioned I have been into VW's in one way or another since I was 14. I was in the local shop and saw a magazine with a funny shaped car, which I now know and love as a beetle, on the cover I liked what I saw and my dad bought it for me, probably to draw my attention away from the porn mag’s. So in a way I have him to blame for all this (thanks dad). As I grew up and learnt to drive I went through a varied selection of VW’s from golf’s to polo’s to my current beetle and VW panel van tow car. Along the way I have made many good friends but I have also become fairly well known on the VW scene due to a few show cars I have built.
